Welcome to the exciting world of Middle Eastern percussion! This is a technique and drill-based class focusing on classical Arabic style for the doumbek/darbuka/derbekki. Work on focusing on technique to create that crisp, classical sound you hear in the recordings. This class will have a beginning refresher and then accelerate into more advanced techniques and drills to improve stamina, speed and timing. Intermediate and experienced drummers will fine-tune their playing for clarity and tone. Want more rhythms?
